1. Mamono/Mamodo are referred to as Demons on this forum. It is the translation of the word, and is not a mistake, so do not message the Mods and Admin about it being incorrect.

2. Powerplaying and GodModding is prohibited. Only spells have the power to control another character, in which case it will only last as long as an Assist Spell.

3. Although this roleplay is about the Demon King battle, you do not necessarily have to fight all the time. You can make posts about anything as long as it is appropriate and adds to your storyline.

4. Training is the only place where double posting is allowed!1

5. You do not necessarily have to know anything about Konjiki no Gash Bell to Roleplay here. I will post information about various themes and ideas of Gash Bell, to make it easier for others to Roleplay. If you have any questions, please, feel free to ask.

6. You cannot kill another member's character without their consent, regardless of the circumstances.

7. If you wish to battle or interact with an NPC, make a request on the NPC Character board, under that character's name, and the staff will play one for you. Anyone can create an NPC NPC's COMING SOON!

8. If your demon team looses 5 battles, then their book will be burned. This does not apply to main teams!

Notes
1. See Level Section for details about Training.

 IV. Character Types

» Changed / Updated 12/05/09, Added NPC Section

1. In this Roleplay, you are permitted to create two types of 1. Characters. Demon/Human Teams, and Normal Humans. In order to access the Character Creation Threads, you must know the password.

2. To create your character, simply click the 'New Thread' Button, as a premade template has been created for your convenience.

3. When creating your characters, you cannot give them any similarities to actual characters, including appearance, weapons, personality, and other reference points.

4. You also must use words to describe your characters' appearances, we need to be able to get a good mental image of them so describe them well.

Regarding Team Characters

1. Your first role play post after new characters are accepted must be a detailed explanation on their meeting, similar to a prologue. There is a minimum of five paragraphs allowed in this topic, and it can be posted anywhere your two character currently are together. After this post is approved, you will be permitted to move to other places.

2. Your Demon can only control one element.

3. Because the candidates for king are Demon Children, your Demon can be no younger then 3, and no older then 17.

4. You are permitted to have 4 Demon Teams at any given time. When a book is bruned, you can create another. As of now, there is no limit to how many you are allowed to create. Before you are allowed to submit another character, your others must be at least at level two or higher.

5. All Demons will have spells to go along with their spell book. You may create spells, or use spells from the Manga or Show.

6. Each team must have a living human partner to provide heart energy. No exceptions.

7. If your Demon's spell book is burned, they are disqualified from the battle. You are not allowed to bring that Demon back into the Human world if this happens, however, you may still role play as the human if you wish.

8. You are allowed to let your Demon and Human wander separately, but be aware that both of them will be at risk of being attacked at any time.

9. The spell book must be a single solid color. No patterns permitted.

10. Demons cannot be related to the canon demon characters in any way. No Exceptions.

11. Humans can be the book owner to one, and only one Demon

The password to access the character creation is winner.

Regarding Human Characters

1. Not all humans have to be book owners. You may create a Human Character that is just a normal civilian.

2. Humans can be any age.

3. Human/Demon Relationships, Demon/Demon relationships or Human/Human relationships are allowed, just no explicit content.

4. Human Characters cannot be in any way related to the canon characters. This is 1000 years later, and even if they were related, they wouldn't know it, and it wouldn't really matter.

5. Human characters cannot have any unrealistic abilities. Like eyes changing colors/hues when they're in a certain mood or being part of a completely different species. However, they are allowed certain 'psychic' abilities that are prominent in the real world; i.e., Clairvoyance, Empathy, etc. If you are unsure of a power, put it in your profile and we will review it.

NPC's

NPC's, also known as Non Playable Characters, are a new installment to the Forum. They have been added to the forum to make things more interesting and provide some friendly, non-stressful battle and action to the forum.

1. Anyone can make an NPC. If you wish to make one, post the profile as you would any other character profile, but in the title, be sure to add (NPC).

2. NPC's do not have to start at Level One. Becuase they are not a persons actual character, they can be at any level. When creating one, post the desired level you wish it to be, with all its spells, and the staff will review it. If it is decided for it to be a higher or lower level, we will alert the creator.

3. Only the staff can control NPC's. If you wish to battle one, simply make a request in that NPC's profile and a staff will reply with an acceptance or refusal. Be aware that you must start the thread if the battle is accepted!

4. NPC's may randomly appear in any thread at any time if the staff desires it.

5. NPC's, like regular characters, may lose five battles before their books are burned.

Other

1. All characters must remain active, and your Main Demon/Human Team Must be your screen name.
Example:
Screen name before Team Approval: NightVision121
Screen name after Team Approval: Hayate/Kaori

2. I lied. The password is accept.

 V. Stat System

All energy eventually runs out, even the power of your heart, which is what Demon Spell books run on. Demon Spells can only be cast by their destined Human Partner.

The stat system is as follows.

Level:
Total Stat Points:
Requirement to Next Level:
Demon Health Points:
Human Health Points:
Heart Energy:
Human Speed:
Demon Speed:

The levels are separated into six sections: Total Stat Points, Requirement to Next Level, Demon Health Points, Human Health Points, Heart Energy, Human Speed and Demon Speed. You will fill this out accordingly. You may distribute the Stat points received as you wish.

Elaboration
○ The Level Number speaks for itself. Simply put what level you are on based on the points.
○ Next to the Total Stat Points portion, put however many stat points you have achieved. Simply whatever earned through battling or training here, and distribute what you received to the six major stat categories.
Demon Health Points are how health the Demon Character has. If all points are lost, the Demon Character will fall unconscious, and thus be rendered useless. If this should happen, it would be best to retreat.
Human Health Points are how many points the Human Character has. If all points are lost, the Human Character will fall unconscious, and thus be rendered useless. If this should happen, it would be best to retreat.
Magic Points is the amount of energy the Human Character has to cast spells. With each spell cast, the number of Magic Points consumed for that spell will be subtracted.
Human Speed is how fast the Human Character can move. If two Demons are fighting, and one wants to dodge a spell, then whichever character has the highest speed will win the current phase.
Demon Speed is how fast the Demon Character can move. If two Demons are fighting, and one wants to dodge a spell, then whichever character has the highest speed will win the current phase.

As you gain points, you will distribute them amongst the Sections as you wish.

 VI. Spells

Spells will be received every level. When first beginning, you will be allowed one spell. After a level, a new spell will be allowed.

All spells must be approved by at least one administrator before being allowed. Therefore, all new spells must be posted in the User Updates topic, within the Spell Approvals thread for review. Once it is approved, you will be allowed to use it.

Be aware that you cannot change a lower level spell in the future once you've submitted it and it's been approved! Be sure to think extremely carefully about your characters spells!

The Ultimate Spell is recieved at Level 5, and has the power of a Level 9 spell. However, as a result, the Level 9 spell is strictly for Assist, therefore, does no Damage.

A Note on Assist Spells: All assist spells, regardless of what level they are given on, will last for five individual posts before cancelling out. Assist spells do not make you invincible. They increase your speed and strength temporarily, as well as your resistance to spells.
-You can only use up to 2 Assist spells at a time and combine their boosts. Both would still last only 5 turns.

Defense Notes
○Defense spells do not require speed.
○If an attack has a higher damage count, subtract the defense damage from the attacks damage to get the amount of Damage.
Attack Damage-Defense Level = Damage Count
(20-5=15 Damage)
○If the Defense Spell shoots the attack back at the opponent, like Rashirudo does, you multiply the attack power by two if the shield is a success

Shin and Dioga Class Spells
Demons are not allowed to have either Shin or Dioga class spells.

 VII. Levels

Everyone, when beginning this RP, starts at Level 1, which gives them 100 Points to distribute amongst the team. As they Level up, the Required points to the next level will rise or lower as well. The highest level one can achieve is level 11. The following are the minimum Point Requirement for each level.

Level 1: 100
Level 2: 200
Level 3: 400
Level 4: 600
Level 5: 800
Level 6: 1200
Level 7: 1600
Level 8: 2000
Level 9: 2400
Level 10: 2800
Level 11: 3300

To level up, one must either battle, train or roleplay.

Each page of roleplaying is worth 20 points to each participant. You are responsible for keeping track of this, as well as when a new spell is unlocked.

A battle is as follows.

Win: 30 Points
Draw: 25 Points
Loss: 20 Points

When training, 100 words gives you 10 experience. For example, each 300 words is worth 30 experience points. You can double post in training, or make it all in one giant post.

After your training post, an admin will give you your exp and ask you how you would like it distributed.

Example: Let's say you received 30 exp for a training thread. After the admin asks you where you want it to go,. You would say 'I'd like 10 in heart energy, 10 in human health, and 10 to demon speed' or any other combination you want. As long as the exp adds up to 30.

Training can take place wherever you want it to, but the name of the training post must be written as such:

"Training: Thread Name"

Spells will be given every level.

 VIII. Spell Powers Not Allowed

Within this section, is a compiled list of spell powers that would be deemed unacceptable for characters.

» Any of the 7 Deadly Sins
» Annihilation
» Animals
» Beauty
» Copying (also includes mimic)
» Different Colored Spell Powers (Blue fire, green lightning, etc. But only if the base power is taken.)
» Emotion Based Spell Powers
» Food
» God-like Powers
» Holy
» Immortality
» Life
» Luck
» Memory
» Mind/Mind Controlling
» Multiple Spell Powers (You are permitted sub powers, such as psychic as a sub to darkness)

Powers that are also not accepted are spell powers in which both spots for the power are taken. Which you can find out in the Roleplaying Information section of the board. For more information, message the Staff.

 IX. Battle System

» Changed / Updated 12/05/09, Rules 5 and 6

Each Demon has a certain amount of energy. The process of battling with the stat system explained in previous posts is easy enough to understand, but if you have any questions, please feel free to ask either via PM or through the Questions and Answers board. Be sure, when battling, that you roleplay the actions of your characters.

For the sake of simplicity, I will use Gash Bell and Kiyomaro Takamine at level 1 fighting against a ghost of themselves. Gash will be represented with Maroon and the Ghost will be represented with Purple.

1. Each Demon has a certain amount of energy. That is based upon what level your Demon is on. I will distribute Gash and Kiyomaro's information as such.

Diagram A1: Display the following at the first post of a battle so that the opponent knows the basic information about the character.

Demon Name: Gash Bell
Human Name: Kiyomaro Takamine
Spell Power: Lightning
Level 1
Total Stat Points: 200
Requirement for Next Level: 100
Demon Health Points: 45
Human Health Points: 45
Heart Energy: 45
Human Speed: 35
Demon Speed: 35

2. Everyone, when first joining, starts at level 1. Each time you win a battle, however, your Total Stat points will raise thus resulting in your Requirement for Next Level to be lowered.

3.
Defending and Attacking
A. When attacking, a hit is not guaranteed. Since it is a turn based RPG, your opponent has a chance to counter, or to attempt to dodge. When casting a spell, you must post the following beneath the Stats. Since we are using Gash and Kiyomaro, I will use Zakeru as an example.

Diagram B1
Spell Name: Zakeru
Spell Level: 1
Spell Damage: 5
Heart Energy Consumption: 5
Speed: 15

The attacker would roleplay his team preparing to attack, and then sending the spell at the opponent, then end his post with the Stat Information, making adjustments to accomodate the usage of a spell.

Diagram C1
Demon Health Points: 45
Human Health Points: 45
Heart Energy: 40
Human Speed: 35
Demon Speed: 35

Now, let's assume that the Ghost opponent wants to defend.
If the defense spell shoots the attack back at the opponent, the damage is multiplied by two. If not, then it is just blocked assuming the power of the defense spell is strong enough. The Defender will make a post similar to that of the attacker. So let's have our opponent use Rashirudo.

Diagram A2:

Demon Name: Gash Bell
Human Name: Kiyomaro Takamine
Spell Power: Lightning
Level 1
Total Stat Points: 200
Requirement for Next Level: 100
Demon Health Points: 45
Human Health Points: 45
Heart Energy: 45
Human Speed: 35
Demon Speed: 35

Diagram B2:
Spell Name: Rashirudo
Spell Level: 1
Spell Damage: 5 [How much it can take] X2 of Attack: 5x2=10 (Two times the damage of the attack spell. Since Zakeru’s original damage is 5, multiplied by 2 is 10.)
Heart Energy Consumption: 5
Casting Speed: 15
Speed: +5 of Attack: 15+5=20 (The number is achieved by adding five to whatever the attack spell that hits it was) (SPECIAL FOR SPELLS SIMILAR TO RASHIRUDO)

Since Rashirudo is the same level, it can bounce the attack back with twice the amount of damage that the original attack should have dealt. Which means that the returned attack should have 10 instead of 5 damage. Whoever the spell is directed at can dodge if their speed is faster the the speed of the defender spell.

Now, let's assume our opponent used a spell like Ma Seshirudo at Level 1.

Diagram B2.1
Spell Name: Ma Seshirudo
Spell Level: 1
Spell Damage: N/A
Heart Energy Comsumption: 5
Casting Speed: 15

Like Rashirudo, Ma Seshirudo is the same level as Zakeru, so it was able to block the attack, and thus cancel it out. The defender would then end their post the same way the attacker did.

Diagram C1
Demon Health Points: 45
Human Health Points: 45
Heart Energy: 40
Human Speed: 35
Demon Speed: 35

*If the attacking spell deals more energy then the Shield can take, then the shield will only defend what it can. In other words, if Zakeru did 10 Damage, and Rashirudo can only defend 5, then you'd subtract the Defense Damage from the Spell Damage.

This is the same with Attack Spells being used to Defend. If the Attackers spell is stronger then the defenders attack spell, then the Defender would subtract the damage from the attack spell they used to defend, from the attack spell the opponent used to strike.

If both spells have the same strength and speed, then it will be a stalemate.

Attacking Spell Damage - Defending Spell Damage = Total Damage Taken
Attack Spell Damage - Attack Spell Damage = Total Damage Taken

4. When All Heard Energy Points are Consumed

When all Heart Energy points are consumed, you can no longer use spells, unless the Heart Energy is re-generated by a spell like Saifogio [Keep in mind, a spell like this will only restore half of the total heart energy a user has]. However, just because Heart Energy is consumed, does not mean that the battle is over.

At this point, the fight is free for all, yet still turn based. Every 5 posts increases Heart Energy by 5. It is NOT the combined posts, but the posts YOU post.

Damage can be dealt, but it will not lower your Health Points. However, any injury received during a hand to hand fight will effect you during that actual battle.

5.When Dodging, whatever Demon with the highest speed wins. If the speed of the dodger is lower then the speed of the attacker, the spell will hit. It is the same vice versa. You can only dodge an attack once every other turn.
--Take note, you CANNOT dodge every attack your enemy throws at you!

6. You may lose up to five battles with a character before that characters book must be burned. Main Teams are exempt.

*If you do not reply to an attack within two days, your turn will be skipped! So please don't come complaining to me if your opponent double posted unless they posted their follow up attack before the two day deadline.
